RAP payment: $50,000 AGI, no dependents

Short answer: About $166.67 per month. Under the Repayment Assistance Plan, $50,000 AGI falls in the 4% bracket: 4% × $50,000 = $2,000 a year ÷ 12 = $166.67, minus $50 × 0 dependents = $166.67 (minimum $10). This is an estimate from formula version November 5, 2026; your servicer calculates the official amount.

1 dependent$116.67$1,400
2 dependents$66.67$800
3 dependents$16.67$200

How the formula works

RAP charges 1% of AGI for $10,001–$20,000, rising one point per $10,000 up to 10% for AGI above $100,000, then subtracts $50 per month for each dependent, with a $10 monthly minimum. Unpaid monthly interest is waived when you pay on time, and a principal match of up to $50 applies. See What is RAP and our methodology.
