Methodology
The RAP calculator implements the formula in P.L. 119-21 §82001 and 34 CFR 685.209, cross-checked with studentaid.gov IDR guidance. Formula version November 5, 2026.
It runs entirely in your browser. If you click Save, your inputs and results are stored only in this browser’s localStorage under pslfcheck.plan.v1; nothing is sent to us. Unit tests cover AGI bands, the $10 floor, dependent reductions, Tiered Standard tiers, and the interest subsidy / principal match.

- Tiered Standard amortization by balance band
What we do not model
