Is my employer PSLF eligible?

Quick answer: Government employers and 501(c)(3) nonprofits are qualifying PSLF employer types. Search your employer below to see its IRS tax-exempt status, then confirm in the official PSLF Help Tool. Only the U.S. Department of Education makes the final decision.

Data: IRS Exempt Organizations Business Master File (public extract). This MVP covers about 83,000 larger nonprofits (revenue $1M+): hospitals, universities, schools, health, public-safety and community organizations. Government employers (federal, state, county, city, public schools) are not in IRS nonprofit data — they qualify as government employers; confirm in the PSLF Help Tool. Not finding yours does not mean it does not qualify.
